MONROE, La., Nov. 20, 2019 - In a business climate where milliseconds matter in network connections, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) will again provide fast and secure cloud connectivity for AWS re:Invent, the largest cloud event in the industry.
CenturyLink has deployed 280 Gbps of bandwidth to support more than 98,000 devices at eight interconnected venues during the Dec. 2 - 6 event. Keynotes, live streams, breakout sessions, hands-on labs bootcamps, hackathons, workshops and certification exams will be delivered via CenturyLink Cloud Connect solutions, a service capable of providing real-time connections between datacenters and AWS cloud services.
Additionally, CenturyLink executives will present at two sessions at the event. The first session, a lightening talk on the forces driving edge computing, is led by Dave Shacochis, vice president, hybrid IT product management. It takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. in the Telecom Lounge at the MGM Grand, level 3 pre-function foyer. The second session, "True Stories: Digital Business Innovations on AWS," features Dave Shacochis and Steve Seymour, worldwide technical leader, networking, AWS. It takes place on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m.at the Aria Resort & Casino, level 3 west, Juniper 4.
