San Jose, CA – June 16, 2016 – On the heels of announcing a partnership agreement, Fujitsu Components America and CRATUS Technology, Inc. will demonstrate their latest developments in wireless, sensor-based Internet of Things (IoT) products at Sensors Expo and Conference, booth#1142, on June 22 and 23 in the McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, CA.
The product demonstrations will highlight examples of smart solutions across multiple IoT markets that integrate wireless modules and sensors. The concept products will include a hydration device for diabetics, an interactive game play device, an impact sensor for sports helmets, and an augmented-reality headset for the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) market.
“IDC predicts that the installed IoT market in North America is projected to grow to over 7 billion units by 2020,” said Bruce DeVisser, Fujitsu Component America’s product marketing manager for wireless modules. “Our objective is to demonstrate the versatility and flexibility of wireless modules and sensors for creating multiple IoT applications and devices,” he said.
Last week, the two Silicon Valley-based companies announced that they will jointly develop and produce products for U.S. OEM customers in the rapidly growing Industrial IoT (IIoT) market. The agreement leverages Fujitsu’s expertise in wireless module technology and volume manufacturing and CRATUS’ hardware design knowledge in specialized sensor and sensing-solutions.
