CASIO EXPANDS LINEUP OF CELVIANO GRAND HYBRID DIGITAL PIANOS
GP-300WE Features a New Elegant Design, Wooden Keys, and Three Historic Grand Piano Sounds in a Natural White Wood Finish

DOVER, NJ, January 20, 2017 – Today, Casio America, Inc. is proud to announce the newest member of the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid family, the GP-300WE, an elegantly designed instrument with a natural white wood finish. CELVIANO Grand Hybrid pianos combine the advantages of both digital and acoustic pianos while delivering the performance of a grand piano in tone, keyboard quality and playing response.

Casio previously released three pianos in this lineup since 2015—the GP-500BP, GP-400 and GP-300BK. All are equipped with the Casio AiR* Grand Sound Source that enables beautiful sound and rich reverberation just like a grand piano. The CELVIANO Grand Hybrid pianos also feature keyboard action and piano tones jointly developed with the piano maker C. Bechstein. The Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard uses full-length Austrian spruce keys as used on C. Bechstein grand pianos, and features a vertical hammer mechanism that faithfully simulates grand piano hammer movements, which have a significant impact on the playing response of a grand piano. These innovative hybrid pianos have moved beyond the realm of the conventional digital piano, and gained a strong reputation among people who demand the nuanced sound and authentic feel of a grand piano.

Like its predecessors, the new GP-300WE comes with the three historically popular grand piano sounds, as well as the same Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard. Its design features a natural white wood finish for both the body and stand, producing a bright yet elegant ambiance that provides players with a beautiful alternative to the black wood finish of the GP-300BK.

Furthermore, the GP-300WE feature a Grand Acoustic System that faithfully represents the sound of a grand piano as it emanates from above and below the soundboard. The multi-channel amplification system creates an immersive sound field like that of a nine-foot concert grand for both the player and audience

The GP-300WE also offers the following features:

  • Hall Simulator
  • 256-note polyphony
  • Five touch sensitivity levels
  • 60 preset songs
  • 26 built-in tones
  • 10 user songs
  • Concert Play mode
  • Duet mode
  • USB audio recording and playback
