CASIO INTRODUCES THREE NEW DIGITAL PIANOS AT SUMMER NAMM 2017
New Celviano and Privia Models Boast Enhanced Designs, New Tones and More

NASHVILLE, TN, July 13, 2017 – Today, Casio is pleased to announce the addition of three new models to its well-known Celviano and Privia digital piano lines. Fortifying its place as a leader in the electronic musical instrument industry, Casio’s Celviano AP-270, as well as the Privia PX-770 and PX-870 offer a number of new features that will appeal to a variety of users, from beginners to advanced musicians. Casio’s latest models and full portfolio of electronic musical instruments will be on display at the company’s booth (#5900) during Summer NAMM at Music City Center, from July 13-15, 2017.

“We are proud to launch the next generation of Celviano and Privia digital pianos, which appeal to musicians for their remarkable piano sounds and authentic piano feel,” said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio’s Electronic Musical Instruments Division. “The new Celviano and Privia digital pianos deliver exceptional sound quality and are equipped with an abundance of new features, offering an enhanced performance for beginners and professionals alike.”

Casio’s new AP-270, Privia PX-770 and PX-870 boast a redesigned cabinet with all of the controls located on the side panel. These new models are equipped with a redesigned 88-key Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory textured keys to reproduce the touch feeling of an acoustic piano while the weighted, scaled hammer action keyboard provides the depth and integrity of an acoustic piano.

In addition, the AP-270 features both European and American concert grand piano tones with damper resonance and 22 tones; and the PX-770 and PX-870 feature an improved Stereo Grand Piano tone with damper resonance and 19 tones. Both the AP-270 and PX-770 have 128 note polyphony, while the PX-870 is outfitted with 256-note polyphony, a new Sound Projection Speaker System and Volume Sync EQ, Headphone mode and USB audio recording. These three models also offer Concert Play with 10 songs, three pedals, USB MIDI and two-track recording.

In September, the AP-270 (MSRP: $1,499.99), PX-770 (MSRP: $1,099.99) and the PX-870 (MSRP: $1,499.99) will all be available at select music dealers nationwide. To learn more about Casio’s full portfolio of electronic musical instruments, please visit www.CasioMusicGear.com.
